The Helping Hands Senegambiagroup, a Belgian based charitable organization, yesterday donated a container of household material worth 4000€ to the Jallow family of Lamin.

Speaking in an interview with The Point, Lamin Touray, the coordinator of the charitable organization in The Gambia, said the donation was purposely meant to assist the Jallow Family whose family compound was gutted by fire two months ago.

Mr. Touray pointed out that shortly after the fire was reported, he made an assessment of the damage and reported it back to his partners who responded positively.
He stated that the organization has also supported the family financially before the arrival of the items.

He added that this is not the first time this organization has supported individuals, the health sector and communities in The Gambia.

Speaking of behalf of the beneficiaries, Ebrima Jallow thanked the director of Helping Hands Senegambia, Edgard Loots, Manager Jaak Ronsman and Alex for the timely assistance noting that this is a really philanthropic gesture and a relief to the entire Jallow Kunda family of Lamin.

He also commended Lamin Touray for facilitating the donation.
