Helping Hands is a voluntary helping project supporting school education and medecins for the children in the Gambia.
The project has started in 2000 and since than it is the aim to send every year at least one container with goods to be shared among the local people. In this way we are supporting schools and hospitals all over the country as for example the village of Karantaba, at about 300km from the capital Banjul. Karantaba is the village where M. Lamin B Touray is born.
Lamin has been staying among the people of Helping Hands in Belgium for 5 years, where he got the opportunity to study. For the moment Lamin is the local project manager of Helping Hands in the Gambia.

The transport of all goods costs a lot of money.
The average amount is about €3000 for one containertransport.
That's why we are always very pleased for every financial support too.
