Partnership

educational institutions
and
Gambian authorities

Besides the collaboration of the Flemish ‘Koninklijk Atheneum - Schoten/Schilde - Royal High School’, a partnership with the Gambian Technical Training Institute (GTTI) means that we can realize all our defined objectives because this gives us access to young Gambians with some technical skills to balance those of our target group of young volunteers. The GTTI has pledged their fullest support for the achievement of these objectives in the knowledge that this “balance” holds out great opportunities for their young persons as well.

Apart from the GTTI, VVS can count on the effective support of the the Sukuta Village Development Committee, the local authorities of Sukuta (Council of Elders) and several national authorities (members of parliament).
With a view to the success of this project VVS also has established a Memorandum of Understanding with the Department of State for Health and Social Welfare, and the Department of State for Education.
The non-profit organisation became accreditation of the European Commission, in the frame of the European Programme ‘Youth in Action – European Voluntary Service' – 2009.
